Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
Our journal is based on the principle of impartiality and objectivity in scientific research and publication processes. We are committed to avoiding all kinds of conflicts of interest and to stay away from unethical practices that may affect the results of the research. Scientific accuracy and honesty are essential in every published article. Authors should give appropriate citations when quoting from previously published works and should not plagiarize. We respect human and animal rights and fully comply with ethical rules and legal regulations in research. We focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of our scientific publications by maintaining editorial independence and fair review processes.
Our journal is open to various types of articles and accepts contributions such as original research articles, review articles, critical reviews, book reviews and conference reports. Our journal, which is published at regular intervals depending on the publication schedule, puts each article through a double-blind peer review process. In this process, the identities of authors and referees are kept confidential from each other. In addition, our journal adopts an open access policy and encourages scientific content to be freely accessible. Our journal may publish in more than one language and requires parts of articles to be presented in English to facilitate access for international readers. Editorial decisions are made on the basis of scientific content and quality, and advertising or financial interests do not influence publication decisions. Striving to promote research and academic contributions in the field of musicology, our journal advocates editorial independence and adopts a zero-tolerance policy towards any unethical behavior.
Our journal is committed to cooperating with the editorial staff to correct errors and corrections detected in published articles. If an editorial error or scientifically significant omission is detected, a corrected version of the article will be prepared and published in the next issue of the journal or in an appropriate venue. In addition, if unethical behavior or a serious inaccuracy is detected after publication of an article, the article may be withdrawn. The decision to retract an article is taken after a detailed discussion between the journal editors, the editorial board and the parties involved. This process is carried out rigorously to protect the reputation of the journal and ensure scientific integrity. If the article is withdrawn, the journal will inform and explain the necessary information and explanations to its readers and relevant stakeholders.
Although our journal endeavors to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information contained in the published content, it does not guarantee that this information is complete or error-free. The articles in the journal reflect the views of the authors and, although they have been approved by the journal management, these views do not necessarily reflect the official views of the journal. The journal, publishers, editors or authors cannot be held responsible for any damages arising from the use of the contents published in the journal. The journal is not responsible for any damage, loss or cost arising from the use of the information contained in the journal. Readers should evaluate and use the information contained in the journal at their own risk. In case of any doubt or concern, it is recommended to seek help from relevant experts or relevant sources.
Referees' Duties
Reviewers are independent experts who evaluate manuscripts in accordance with the journal's editorial policies and play an important role in ensuring the quality of the journal's publication. Reviewers objectively evaluate the articles submitted to the journal and examine their scientific quality, methods, results and discussion. In this evaluation process, reviewers consider whether the articles are original and important, the text's understandability, logical flow and appropriate references. Reviewers identify potential errors, inconsistencies or ethical concerns in the manuscript and provide necessary corrections or suggestions. In addition, reviewers may consult additional sources as necessary to verify the accuracy and reliability of the information contained in the article. Reviewers' evaluations and feedback help journal editors make informed decisions about the publishability of manuscripts. Therefore, it is important that reviewers fulfill their duties by adhering to basic principles such as honesty, impartiality, confidentiality and timely feedback.
Author's Tasks
Authors are responsible for the originality, quality and scientific standards of the articles submitted to the journal. The research or review presented in the articles must be original and previously unpublished. In addition, authors must fully comply with the code of ethics and must not plagiarize. It is important that the information and sources used in the articles are cited accurately and completely. Authors should prepare their articles in accordance with the journal's editorial policies and format them according to the relevant journal guidelines. They should also respond quickly and effectively to the requests of journal editors or reviewers during the peer review process. After the publication of the article, authors should be open to feedback from journal editors or readers and make necessary corrections. Finally, authors should actively participate in the promotion and publicity activities of the journal to increase the engagement of their published articles.
